Cats, Cats, Cats - pics, advice, etc
Benny was my second Bengal. Our first was a highly strung female (Sheba) but unfortunately she is no longer with us.

Well, Benny. What can I say? He is spoilt (as are the others), quite big (nearly 7kg) and he is really really soppy. Sometimes he can show quite incredible intelligence but other times it's as though he has nothing between the very big ears!

He is a pedigree and he came from the same breeder as Alfie. Unfortunately for Benny, he'd had a few homes before I met him and because he is such a people loving cat (as are most Bengals) and he was being left on his own for long periods, he had "accidents" on owner's beds so he kept being returned to the breeder.

I can very proudly say that he has never done that to us, and one of us is usually around at least during the day, and he also has his furry playmates, so he is quite content.

His favourite things in no particular order are: "Thrive" cat treats, a large supermarket's basics chicken roll, cat food pouches, laying in silly places, paddling on Mummy and checking the fridge whenever it's open to see what's in there. In order to combine his favourite things, his latest trick is to jump in the fridge when Mummy opens it - saving a few precious seconds. If he's quick enough he can grab the chicken roll or anything else he considers edible and run before Mummy realises what's happening.

He loves being up high, and the best place for him is the very top of our 2m cat climbing frame. Unfortunately, his dopey side somes in when he starts washing his VERY BIG legs and falls of the top. And of course, he'll get up, have a quick lick as if to say "I meant to do that" and then glare at one or both of us to remind us never to do that again. Or, he'll life his head up a little bit and keep bopping his head on the toy hanging from the very top. Durrrr - put your head down silly!

Benny is such a loving boy and recently has been really cuddly. He goes through stages of being a little distant, then he can't get close enough. But I know that he does love his Mummy. He's even nice to Alfie now!
