ALFIE - 10/2/2011 - 1/10/2011

It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that Alfie lost his fight against the diagnosis of FIP early this morning. He started to have seizures and there was no way that he would recover so he was put to sleep.
It is such a waste of life for such a young kitten, he was only 7 and a half months old and such a friendly, beautiful boy.
Originally, we took him to the vet about 3 weeks ago when we received the news that it was most probable that he had FIP. As you may know, there is no definate diagnosis, nor is there any treatment or cure. We were lucky that he had 3 extra weeks of life with us.
He is going to help other cats in his death and is going to a veterinary school who are researching FIP, then he will receive a private cremation and be returned home.
